SUMMARY:Planting as Prevention
DESCRIPTION:Join us on Wednesday\, May 14th at 9:30 am at Semalulukut Community Garden for Planting as Prevention! In this workshop\, we will learn about the ways that gardening and planting can be healing to our minds\, bodies and communities and a form of prevention. We will spend some time doing mindfulness practices in the garden\, connecting with the plants and soil around us. We will plant seeds as a group and do some gardening projects together where we can explore how growing plants helps our communities grow closer. \nAll attendees will receive a tray to paint\, soil and seeds to plant flowers or herbs of their choice to bring home and cultivate. \nClosed event for Guadalupe Community.
