SUMMARY:Three Sisters Gardening
DESCRIPTION:Join us on Saturday\, June 7th at 8:30 am at Semalulukut Community Garden for Three Sisters Gardening! In this workshop\, we will be learning about the traditional planting practice of the Three Sisters- corn\, beans\, and squash. We will learn about the ways the plants grow together beneficially and the way they support the soil’s health. We will also talk about the ways that these three foods support our bodies by offering us all the nutrients we need in one meal. \nAs a group\, we will then plant the Three Sisters in grow bags\, with the first 15 households to register for the workshop receiving grow bags where they plant corn\, beans and squash to cultivate at home. All attendees will receive corn\, beans and squash seeds to bring home and plant. \nClosed event for Guadalupe Community.
