DESCRIPTION:May is Men’s Mental Health month. NATIVE HEALTH’s Behavioral Health Department is excited to announce this year’s Men’s Mental Wellness Conference with Waylon “Pee” Pahona! Join us on Saturday\, June 28th at 9:00 a.m. for a transformative journey on Men’s Mental Wellness. Come for free lunch\, raffles\, and be part of discussions that encompass being men without labels!\n \n\n\n\n\nIn this conference\, Waylon will share his stories to uplift\, inspire\, and motivate Indigenous Communities. He will guide participants through tools for wellness including: guided imagery\, music\, and movement. Attendees will leave this conference feeling refocused and with a renewed sense of purpose. \n  \n\n\n\n\nPresenter Bio:\nWaylon “Pee” Pahona Jr. is a passionate Motivational Speaker\, Health and Wellness Trainer\, and Certified Yoga Instructor through Native Strength Revolution. Proudly representing his heritage as Hopi\, Tewa\, and Maricopa Pee Posh\, Waylon is renowned for his transformative journey and as the Founder/Creator of Healthy Active Natives (HAN’s). His vibrant social networking group on Facebook has grown to encompass over 74\,500 members globally\, fostering a community dedicated to health and wellness. In recognition of his impactful contributions\, Waylon received the Healthy Innovation Award from IHS Indian Health Services in 2013 for his pioneering social media efforts. In 2024\, he was honored with the Warrior Award from the Southwest Indigenous Women’s Coalition and the Molina Healthcare Tribal Health Champion Award\, further underscoring his commitment to promoting well-being in Indigenous communities. Currently\, Waylon teaches and facilitates yoga and wellness classes in Outpatient Treatment Centers and the Strong Men’s Program\, empowering individuals to embrace healthier lifestyles. Additionally\, he proudly served as an Ambassador for Tanka Bar jerky\, advocating for nutritious\, sustainable food choices.\n \nFor Indigenous men 14 years or older.
