SUMMARY:2026 NATIVE HEALTH Indigenous Wellness Camp
DESCRIPTION:NATIVE HEALTH is pleased to announce it’s annual Indigenous Wellness Camp\, Monday\, June 22–Friday\, June 26\, 2026 at Mingus Mountain Camp in Prescott Valley\, AZ. American Indian/Alaska Native children\, ages 9-12 years old can attend at no cost. \nNATIVE HEALTH is entering its 23rd year offering American Indian/Alaska youth tools to reduce the risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes. In addition to offering a fun outdoor camping experience\, the Indigenous Wellness Camp also provides education on the importance of nutrition\, physical activity\, self-esteem\, diabetes prevention\, and traditional activities. Activities at the camp include:  \n\nFun\, outdoor activities including low ropes\, climbing wall\, zipline\, hiking\, bow & arrow\, fishing and more!\nWellness Education\nTraditional and Cultural Workshops\n\nYour child must have a physical completed by a NATIVE HEALTH provider at any of our NATIVE HEALTH locations.\nPlease separately fill out the Camp Interest Form (below) for each child that would like to attend. We will contact you\, where we will send you a registration packet to fill out with your child. DESCRIPTION:In honor of Pride Month\, NATIVE HEALTH is hosting Pride\, Presence\, and Celebration with Keana Gorman on Friday\, June 26\, 2026\, 5:30 p.m. – 7 p.m. virtually via ZOOM. \nKeana Gorman is a Diné (Navajo) translator\, poet\, researcher\, and a History and Literature graduate of Harvard University. In this special presentation\, she will highlight the historical and continued existence of identity\, wellness\, and holistic health in the Diné community. This presentation is based on her thesis\, “Seeking Nádleeh Wisdom.” \nJoin us in learning about Gorman’s cultural and linguistic work with the Diné community!
