DESCRIPTION:“What Can I Eat?” is a nutrition education program for adults. The goal of this program is to teach people how to eat in a way to keep their blood sugar healthy. The program is led by NATIVE HEALTH’s Amber Labahe and Gabrielle Begay. We will cover topics such as learning to eat healthy\, making balanced food choices to support nutrition and blood sugar management\, and engaging in hands-on activities with light physical movement. This series is open to anyone interested in learning how to eat healthier to prevent or manage diabetes. Participants will also participate in a hands-on learning activity and practice 10 minutes of mild physical activity in each class. \nThis program has four weekly sessions\, followed by a reunion on June 5th\, two months after the last class to provide continued support and celebrate ongoing successes in making healthy lifestyle choices.
