We will cover topics such as learning to eat healthy\, making balanced food choices to support nutrition and blood sugar management\, and learning how to incorporate physical activity into your daily routine. \nThis series is perfect for people living with diabetes or anyone who supports a family member\, friend\, or loved one with diabetes. DESCRIPTION:Do you have concerns about falling? A MATTER OF BALANCE is an award-winning 8-Week Fall Prevention program designed to manage falls and increase activity levels. These classes will be held Thursdays\, starting Thursday\, July 9 and run through August 20\, 2026\, from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. at NHW Community Health Center\, 8800 N 22nd Avenue in Phoenix. \nYou will learn: \n\nEducation on safe movement and home modifications\nHow to identify unique fall hazards in the home\nHow to exercise to increase strength and balance\nHow to set goals for increasing activity\n\nOpen to Indigenous elders or Indigenous persons with physical disabilities and/or worried about falling. Participants will receive a FREE assistive device each class.
