What Can I Eat? (WCIE) Healthy Choices for American Indians and Alaska Natives at Mesa

NATIVE HEALTH’s Indigenous Wellness Program is hosting What Can I Eat? (WCIE) starting on Wednesday, January 14, 5:30 – 7 p.m. at NATIVE HEALTH Mesa! WCIE is a nutrition education program for adults with the goal of teaching people how to eat in a way to keep their blood sugar healthy.
We will cover topics such as learning to eat healthy, making balanced food choices to support nutrition and blood sugar management, and engaging in hands-on activities with light physical movemnet. This series is open to anyone interested in learning how to eat healthier to prevent or manage diabetes. Participants will also participate in a hands-on learning activity and practice 10 minutes of mild physical activity in each class.
📅 Classes run Wednesdays, January 14, January 28, February 11, and February 25. 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. Class reunion on March 25.

January 28, 2026 – Fitting Sweets int a healthy diet
February 11, 2026 – Planning Healthy Diabetes Meals
February 25, 2026 – Fat, Salt, and healthy eating away from home
