Our program provides community-centered trainings that help individuals, families, and organizations recognize signs of mental health challenges, respond with confidence, and connect people to appropriate support and resources. All trainings are offered at no cost to participants and organizations.

Trainings Offered

– Youth Mental Health First Aid (Youth MHFA)
Youth Mental Health First Aid is designed for adults who work with, support, or care for young people ages 12–18. Participants learn how to identify signs of mental health or substance use challenges, provide initial support, and connect youth to professional help and community resources.
This is a one-day training offered both virtually and in person.
– Adult Mental Health First Aid (Adult MHFA)
Adult Mental Health First Aid teaches participants how to recognize and respond to signs of mental health or substance use challenges in adults. This training builds confidence in supporting someone who may be experiencing a mental health crisis or concern.
This is a one-day training offered both virtually and in person.

– Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)
ASIST is an interactive suicide intervention workshop that helps participants learn how to recognize when someone may be at risk of suicide and how to provide immediate support and create a safety plan until further help is available.
ASIST is a two-day workshop offered in person only.
Training Opportunities for Organizations
The MHAT Program at NATIVE HEALTH is available to partner with organizations, agencies, schools, and community groups to host trainings for staff, teams, and community members. Trainings are offered at no cost to participating organizations.
